Dr. Daniel Klug
Senior Lecturer, Institute for Multimedia Production, University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons
Dr. Daniel Klug is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Multimedia Production at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons, Switzerland, where he teaches theories and methods in social and communication sciences in the Master program “Digital Communication and Creative Media Production”.
He holds a Master in Sociology and Cultural Studies, and a PhD in Media Studies. Previous positions include research assistant at the Software and Societal Systems Department at Carnegie Mellon University, USA and at the Department of Media Studies at the University of Basel.
His work focuses on qualitative approaches to social and cultural perspectives on digital media, interaction, and technology. Current research deals with user awareness of social media algorithms, journalistic strategies on TikTok, and communicative practices on TikTok. He has published numerous papers on these subjects.
