European Press Prize (EPP)
The European Press Prize is an institution formed in 2012 by representatives of seven independent esteemed media-owning foundations in Europe. Its aim is to salute and encourage journalism of the highest quality wherever it can be found on our continent.
Attending the Media Village will be:

Jennifer Athanasiou-Prins is the Executive Director at the European Press Prize. The European Press Prize aims to be a trusted reference point for journalism. By recognising, honouring, and encouraging quality journalism across Europe – the European Press Prize aims to empower journalists to uphold journalistic standards, contribute to reinforcing trust in media and strengthen democratic values.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Laws degree with honours and a Master of Laws degree in Dutch civil law from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. She specialises in organisational development, governance, and building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. She is passionate about strengthening good governance and enhancing organisational frameworks.

Ella Klaas is the Head of Operations at the European Press Prize. She oversees and coordinates the Prize’s judging process and the annual Award Ceremony.
Ella holds an MSc in Political Communication from the University of Amsterdam and has published her Master’s thesis on the topic of the credibility of female journalists.
