Nikolas Vafiadis

Head of Foreign News, ANTENNA TV

Nikolas Vafiadis was born in Athens in 1961. He has worked for newspapers (Financial Times, Eleftherotypia, Kathimerini, Kerdos), radio stations (BBC World Service, ANT-1 Radio), magazines and TV stations. The last 34 years he works for the ANTENNA Group. He is the Head of the Foreign News Department and a news anchor of ANTENNA TV. He teaches International Journalism at the ANT-1 Media Lab and “Media and Social Media in Disasters and Crises” for postgraduate students at the University of Athens. He has covered 17 wars from the front lines and interviewed many world leaders. He has received many national and international awards.
