Nicholas Papachrysostomou

Emergency Coordinator, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF Greece)

Nicholas Papachrysostomou is an accomplished humanitarian professional with extensive experience in global health and emergency response.

With an academic background in Economics from Canada, he began his career in the financial sector with a multinational firm in Athens. However, driven by a deep sense of purpose, he left the corporate world to embark on a seven-year journey around the globe—an experience that profoundly shaped his worldview and professional direction.

Since joining Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), Mr. Papachrysostomou has led and supported critical missions in some of the world’s most challenging environments, including Yemen, Sudan, Bangladesh, the Peruvian Amazon, and the Mediterranean. In 2023, he was among the first to enter Gaza as the coordinator of the organization’s emergency response team. Most recently, he returned from a mission in the West Bank.
