Lois Kapila

Deputy Editor, Reporter & Co-founder, Dublin Inquirer

Lois Kapila is a reporter and editor with Dublin Inquirer, an independent local newspaper in Ireland's capital and dedicated to public-interest journalism. She co-founded the publication a decade ago, and served as editor until this past June. Her own reporting focuses mostly on Ireland's affordable housing crisis.

She has been shortlisted for the Orwell Prize for Journalism, and part of the team to win a European Press Prize for the cross-border Cities for Rent project. Before starting Dublin Inquirer, she worked at Metro Eireann, a publication serving Ireland's immigrant communities, and at The Statesman in Kolkata, India. She grew up in the Fens in the UK.
