Chief Operating Officer of Al Arabiya

Jamie Angus is now the Chief Operating Officer of Al Arabiya in Dubai, part of the MBC Group. He is a former Senior Controller, BBC News Output & Commissioning, in charge of the commissioning and delivery of all daily news and current affairs output across BBC News. From 2018 to 2021, Jamie was Director, BBC World Service Group, running all the BBC’s international news services on TV, Radio and Online, in English and 42 other languages. From 2013 to 2016, Jamie was Editor of the UK’s flagship Today Programme on BBC Radio 4. In his BBC career, Jamie has also been Editor of the World at One and Newshour, and Acting Editor of Newsnight.
