Haggai Matar is the executive director of +972 Magazine and the co-director of Local Call.
He is an awards-winning Israeli journalist, who has also written for outlets such as The Guardian, the Nation, Ha'aretz and Ma'ariv.
Matar, who lives in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, is also a long time political activist, and in 2002 he was imprisoned for two years for refusing Israeli military conscription.
