Elena Rodina

Coordinator of Media Freedom Rapid Response, European Centre for Press and Media Freedom

Dr. Elena Rodina is coordinating Media Freedom Rapid Response Consortium (co-funded by the EU) that monitors violations against press and media freedom in the EU and countries-candidates, provides practical and legal support, as well as advocates for journalistic rights and freedom. Prior to that, she was a program officer at Civil Rights Defenders (Sweden) and a Europe and Central Asia researcher at the Committee to Protect Journalists (USA). She holds a PhD in Media and Communications from Northwestern University (USA) and has years of experience working as a socio-political correspondent.
