As programme director at Stichting Democratie en Media, Abhijit Das is responsible for the foundation’s grant-making and partner support programmes. The foundation is fully independent and supports journalism as an essential pillar of the democratic state. He is also co-chair of the Journalism Funders Forum. Abhijit has a background in criminal law and holds an MBA.
iMEdD is a non-profit organization founded in 2018 courtesy of an exclusive Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) donation. Its mission is to support and promote transparency, credibility and independence in journalism, as means of securing meritocracy and excellence in the field.
