Crystal Logan is the Co- Executive Director and Board Director of the Reva and David Logan Foundation, based in Chicago. The Foundation provides strategic and transformational grants to support effective and innovative initiatives in social justice, the arts and journalism around the world.

While spearheading the journalism portfolio, Crystal looks to provide funding to a wide range of organizations that support the cultivation of the investigative impulse through inspired teaching, workshops, symposiums and the proactive involvement of the public as partners in the journalistic process. An absolute commitment to the truth, a willingness to constantly re-examine the the reporting landscape and experiment with form and delivery are essential qualities of all Logan grantees.

Working closely with individual grantees, philanthropic networks and global alliances, Crystal has a track record in finding and helping grow journalism operations that are exemplars in the field.
