Berit Kruse is a data journalist at Germany’s Süddeutsche Zeitung, where she has worked since 2020. Her reporting spans a wide range of topics, including election results, disinformation campaigns, the politics of clothing sizes, and skincare product pricing.
Alongside her day job, Berit explores the intersection of data and sound. As part of the duo SoniFriday, she transforms data into sonified stories for videos, installations, and live-coded performances. Her work bridges data journalism and experimental audio, aiming to make data more accessible, emotional, and engaging for a wide range of audiences.
