Ariane Lavrilleux

Investigative Journalist, Disclose

Ariane Lavrilleux is a journalist for the non profit investigative media Disclose in France. She is based in Marseille after five years as a free-lance correspondent in Egypt and the Middle-East. Her work focus on arms deals, human rights issues and environmental crimes.

Co-author of the “Egypt Papers” series of investigations, she was taken into custody by French Intelligence in September 2023 as part of an investigation that aim to identify the sources who leaked national defense secrets to Disclose. Member of a press freedom local NGO (OFALP), she is also the general secretary of the NGO Prenons la Une, defending fair representation of women in the news and equality in the French newsrooms.
