Aggelos Petropoulos

Executive Editor, YOJO

Aggelos is an award-winning producer and newsroom manager. He is the Executive Editor of YOJO (Young Journalists), iMEdD's video-first newsroom initiative for emerging journalists. He joined iMEdD from Antenna Group, where he served as General Manager of News and Current Affairs Programs and as News Director.

Prior to that, he was based out of London and Istanbul for NBC News, covering major international developments such as the civil war in Syria, the ISIS offensive in Iraq, and tensions between the US and Russia from Moscow.

During the past two decades he has launched broadcasts, led digital initiatives, contributed and produced – among others – for CBS News’ “60 Minutes, the New York Times and in Greece for VICE, Kathimerini newspaper, SKAI TV and MEGA TV.
