How can journalism respond when narratives clash, facts are manipulated, technology sets new terms, and the public increasingly questions or totally avoids journalism?
From September 25 to 27, influential voices will gather in Athens at the iMEdD International Journalism Forum 2025 to address today’s most pressing challenges in journalism. Under the theme “Navigating the Age of Doubt,” this year’s Forum sets the stage for a global conversation on journalism’s present and future, bringing together investigative reporters, newsroom innovators, funders, academics, and students.
Over three days, the agenda blends critical debate, real-world case studies, and hands-on workshops designed to both challenge and empower journalists.
Highlights of the 2025 Agenda:
- Journalists reporting from Palestine, Sudan, and the Global South share the risks and resilience behind their work.
- The reshaping of reporting through artificial intelligence—from OSINT to audience trust—and the ethical dilemmas that follow.
- Case studies on investigating organized crime, health policies, big tech and climate change reveal the power of cross-border collaboration.
- Immersive journalism, nano-influencers, and vertical video—rethinking how newsrooms reach audiences in a fractured media landscape.
- Honest conversations on trauma, burnout, and building resilience in newsrooms worldwide.

In addition, the Forum will host for the second time the IJ4U Impact Award Ceremony, honoring reporting that drives tangible change in Europe, alongside a teaser exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the World Press Photo Foundation.

On the following two days (September 26 & 27), the program will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., featuring a rich lineup of panels, keynote speeches, presentations, and workshops.
Throughout the three days, attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the Media Village, where 18 leading global media organizations will be present and eager to explore opportunities for collaboration.
