After several consecutive years of bringing together journalists, media innovators, researchers, and storytellers from around the world, the iMEdD International Journalism Forum will return with its next edition in 2027.
Our team will dedicate the year to advancing a series of ambitious initiatives that support the journalism community in new and meaningful ways. This period will allow us to focus on expanding our programs, strengthening collaborations, and developing new opportunities for journalists both in Greece and internationally.
A key part of this effort will be the co-curation of SNF Nostos, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF)’s platform for dialogue, learning, art, and entertainment, which brings together leading voices from across disciplines and will celebrate the Foundation’s 30th anniversary. Within this context, journalism remains an important part of the broader conversation on society, culture, and the future of media. As part of the program, the iMEdD team will also contribute to a range of journalism-focused activities, including a public discussion on the future of journalism and the production of original editorial content.
At the same time, iMEdD will further develop its training activities, offering new opportunities for journalists to deepen their skills and explore emerging practices in reporting, storytelling, and investigative work.
Another important milestone is the new cycle of the iMEdD Incubator, which supports journalists and creators in developing original projects through mentorship, resources, and collaboration. Alongside this, the organization will continue producing resources designed to assist reporters, editors, and newsrooms navigating an evolving media landscape.
This year of focused work also coincides with the continued growth of the iMEdD team, as new members join the organization and contribute to the development of its programs and initiatives.
Since its inception, the iMEdD International Journalism Forum has been shaped by the people who participate in it: journalists, newsroom leaders, academics, partners, and members of the wider media community. Their ideas, discussions, and collaborations have made the Forum a space for thoughtful dialogue about the challenges and possibilities facing journalism today.
As we look ahead to 2027, we invite this community to once again help shape the conversations to come. The call for proposals for the next edition of the iMEdD International Journalism Forum will open later this year, and we look forward to building the program together.
