If I can’t see it, I can’t document it

This workshop is for journalists reporting on humanitarian crises—whether you're just outside a refugee camp or in the middle of an active frontline. In today’s conflicts, control of the narrative is everything.

Whether you're working solo or embedded with a team, on assignment or as a freelancer, the challenges are real and constantly shifting. This workshop, led by a veteran journalist and a next-generation reporter, breaks down how to build and execute a project that works—on the ground, under pressure, with limited resources.

Through case studies pulled from lived experience, it will go beyond theory. What worked. What didn’t. How to navigate the gatekeepers, the fixers, the security personnel sitting beside you. How to move freely, stay safe, and get the story.

Budgets are shrinking. Time is short. Every minute in the field matters. This workshop is built to make sure that when you go in next time—you’re ready.
