Supported by a multidisciplinary team, the workshop seeks to offer a comprehensive strategy for combatting disinformation, with a specific focus on monitoring manipulated or synthetic visual content, such as deep fakes, including, among others, attention-detection mechanisms. The overarching objective is to challenge participants' misconceptions and cognitive biases, familiarize them with the investigative tools through experiential learning, and bolster their confidence in detecting falsified content, a skill, which is essential for both students and professional journalists.
