Agenda & Speakers

How was the program designed?

Earlier this year, iMEdD launched a call for proposals (which closed on March 14), inviting journalists, media professionals, and academics to submit their ideas. This process allowed us to shape a diverse and impactful agenda that tackles some of the most urgent questions facing journalism today.

What does the program include?

The Forum agenda features a diverse lineup of 46 sessions, including 17 panels, 15 hands-on workshops, 8 keynote presentations, 3 case study presentations, 1 awards ceremony, and 2 clinics, offering participants a wide range of opportunities to learn, discuss, and engage with leading voices in journalism.

Please note: the opening session, a conversation on what “Navigating the Age of Doubt” really means, will take place on Thursday, September 25, at 6 p.m.

Who are the speakers?

You can view the confirmed speakers HERE. Each year, the Forum brings together speakers from Greece and abroad, including journalists, media professionals, and distinguished academics.

Which organizations are participating?

We collaborate with organizations from Greece and beyond that contribute to the agenda and/or are present at the Forum’s Media Village. During the iMEdD International Journalism Forum, you’ll have the chance to meet and connect with media outlets, nonprofit newsrooms, and NGOs.

What is the UNCOVERED Conference and how can I attend?

For the second year, the UNCOVERED Conference by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF) will be held within the iMEdD International Journalism Forum, on September 25.

UNCOVERED is the annual conference of the Investigative Journalism for Europe (IJ4EU) programme and has become Europe’s leading gathering on cross-border investigative journalism.

Please note: the UNCOVERED Conference had a separate registration process, and places are now fully booked.

What do “closed events” mean on Thursday, September 25? Can I attend them?

On Thursday, September 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., key iMEdD partners— including the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), the European Press Prize, Reference Circle, and the European Data Journalists Network (EDJNet)— will host invite-only meetings and events.

These sessions are closed to the public and open only to invited participants.

However, everyone is welcome to join the open session later in the day!
